Short Bio: Belle grew up on planet Earth under the care of his human father, a martial arts master. Not having a real home, the two traveled the world - often on foot - but kept a ways clear of cities. As a consequence, Belle has precious little experience with people beyond fighting. His greatest weakness is an overpowering fear of the opposite gender. Belle has been known to faint completely when exposed to close physical contact with women (ie. hugs). His phobia has been part of the reason why he absolutely refuses to fight girls.
Since emerging to fight the Construct, Belle has found himself continually entangled in the lives of other people, not the least of which are his two co-crew members on board the Maiden's Dream: Sayana and Cog. Both of them have helped to slightly temper Belle's wild nature, but Belle still has a long way to go before he's anywhere close to what people would call "normal."
Personality: Blunt. Honest. Gruff. Grumpy. Belle has a heated temper that often gets him into trouble, but those who know him know there's very little real malice behind his tempestuous moods. Having lived on his own for so long, Belle sees very little problem with saying exactly what he feels, when he feels it, no matter where he is. He is often impatient with people who verbally dance around before getting down to the nitty gritty of any discussion.
On the flip side, Belle is intensely loyal. Belle treats any promise he makes as a life or death oath, and will put his life on the line to help his friends without a second thought to his own safety. His honesty means that you can usually count on Belle to give you things on the straight and narrow, and when he's dishonest it's so incredibly obvious that even a child could tell.
Fighting Style: A mix of several martial arts, Belle's fighting relies mainly on a loose interpretation of professional boxing, which he uses to deliver astoundingly powerful hits. While Belle isn't as fast nor as good at absorbing damage as other fighters, the raw power of his fists is so overwhelming that he often comes out ahead. Ten of his opponent's blows can be matched, and even outdone, by a single one of his hits.
On top of this amazing strength is an almost freakish level of talent and adaptability. Belle often learns and evolves as a fighter while a fight is in progress. He subconsciously starts to mimic the better parts of an opponent's style, and is able to anticipate where an opponent is going to strike - an ability that only gets stronger the longer a fight goes on. This is his Foresight - the ability to read his opponent's moves several seconds into the future!
