nothing, it just happens. hackers are pretty aggressive, in that they take all ur gear and gold and stuff which is worth real money.
hate: the Mako is gone in mass effect 2. D:
i know that it was a big complaining point for a lot of players, but it was just so different from what EVERY other game does with vehicles. i hated it at first too, but once i realized that they gave a true-to-life depiction of what terrains are really like on not-earth planets it grew on me. i know that games are supposed to be "fun" but the realism of it gave a solid novelty factor.
the action in the mako was limited, but even the best games fall short on one or two points in the first title of a franchise. plus, it didn't take up too much of the gameplay anyway (it was all tactical team role-playing adventure/shooter dungeon crawling, the vehicle was a really small part). i was hoping that they'd make the vehicle smaller and give it tighter controls and give the geth/alliance equivalent vehicles, so they could at least add some racing and destruction durby melee. oh well. :[
