Oh yes, it's got me hooked now. Well and truly.
The conversation wheel is definitely one of the best features - from the way it only puts small phrases instead of full sentences, to the fact that it's all laid out categorically to let obsessive players like me make sure they've exhausted every option before advancing the conversation. It's very intuitive, it's just a shame that many of the 'choices' are purely superficial and lead to Shepard saying exactly the same thing.
I was all set up to woo Ashley the first time through, but Liara has won me over with her naive bookish asperger-ey quirks. That, and Ashley's stupidity was starting to grate on my nerves. I've got them both on my team for this first runthrough, since I'm an engie and I'm balance-obsessed.
On that note, I also like how the characters all level equally. Should be the RPG standard, if'n you ask me. Whilst playing through FFX, some characters I only wanted to use situationally, but the system 'obliged' me to level them up. This is way better, removes unnecessary grinding.
