Another Man's Treasure

Quote:It is night. Iris stands idly, in thought. A passing Private gives Iris a hearty slap on the rear, and says 'Ready for the frontline?'

The Private grins. 'Ready or not, from the looks of things, we'll be in battle by morning. Better getcher shit ready.'

Bad Medicine

Quote:Days pass. Treatment is not harsh, but is somewhat alien. Water is oversupplied, food is somewhat undersupplied.

No attempt is made by the invaders to communicate (even in body language), until one day (the sixth), the door opens into the cell, and a single invader steps in, hands raised in good faith.

A small device is placed on the ground, roughly the size and shape of a tape cassette. It is activated. It translates the alien's speech for Juno, Boomstick, and Rex.

The alien speaks, slowly, calmly.

"We are at war, your people and our people. It is a historical accident; a cosmic contingency. We must expand our territory, and the planets in this area are fertile and promising. We are not here to murder soldiers and ravage women; we just need more land, and water, and resources. This is a story unfamiliar to you? Warfare? The need for expansion?

We are poised to win; your Militia knows it and we know it. A quicker end to the conflict would save our lives and your lives. Thus, we keep our stocks open. You are invited to join us. Tentative, of course, and with a degree of suspicion (as you could not yet be trusted thoroughly). But we nevertheless extend the invitation. Rest assured, you would not be the only one. You are medics, yes? We have need of such persons as well.

You would, of course, be well-rewarded.

What say you?"

The Choice

Quote:The impact of an outnumbered force begins to show. Most faces in the Militia register fear, in varying degrees. With every passing minute, a full rout becomes more and more likely.

This blatant fact is apparently not missed by the invaders, who accordingly launch into a full-scale assault, breaking every line for the sake of a bitter melee.

A warrior singles out Mal for combat and runs in to begin the assault.

Super Fun Happy Making Friends Time

Quote:Forces land, queue, prepare, encamp.

Pinpoints in the distance. All-around. A sea of yellow with other colors, more rare, mixed in.

The camps indicate that the invaders are prepared for the long haul. A siege, if necessary. Nevertheless, groups of assailants thrust forward, from all sides. Perhaps a test of the wall. Perhaps a called bluff.

The battle begins.

Defense of the Ancients

Quote: A small, circular door opens up from underneath a blanket of dust, in response to the noises in the world above. A humanoid in yellow clothing pokes his head out at ground-level and looks at the woman.

Silence.

The vault door is slammed down and a siren goes off; loud and excited voices are heard inside.

The doors of the various huts are thrown open as a number of invaders leap out into action.

There are six total. Two wear a loose, intricate armor; four wear a clean, yellow robe.

Silence.

||Kaden, as you have Ki Sense, the CA values of the six are as follows:

The two in armor - 6000 each
The four in robes - 350 each||

Failure to Communicate
http://www.cdbzrpg.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28151
Quote:John Doe is handcuffed and led away to the 'brig,' which ends up being nothing more than a low-to-the-ground cargo container with bars. Essentially, a glorified doghouse. The structure and door are of simple iron; a strong punch should blow it out. A single guard keeps watch, but seems rather apathetic about it.

No details are given. No one knows what to do with him; war is all around and a stowaway is the least of their concerns. And yet, John is locked away, and handcuffed.

the time, and if it left... I would be fine.
