Hate: Dragon Age 2
Don't like the new art style.
Hate the new Friend/Rival nonsense. People randomly seem to gain friend and rivalry for no reason in a lot of cases, leaving me pretty much in the middle all around. Bethany made sense so I got her to friend almost instantly in my rogue game, but Carver...fuck that kid, along with most of the others.
Hate the fighting. I mean, the system is graphically more interesting than the original and for better or worse faster paced, but there's just so much of it, especially with "reinforcements" that enemies get. Just fucking be dead already, I don't care about groups of one and two enemies coming in after the others are all dead, just let me move on.
Hate the loss of Coercion and tying lockpicking to Cunning
Without Coercion, there's almost never any non-violent resolution of anything, which adds the above. The lockpicking thing, really, is more about me hating not being able to open a chest more than almost anything in a game with lock picking. It simply infuriates me, so I had to invest my first many levels into cunning so nothing would escape me so I had like, no dexterity for forever.
Hate junk. I mean, wtf? All this random crap takes up 20 of 70 slots in my inventory and sells for a whopping grand total of...ten silver. That used to be where probably 1/3 of my money came from in the first game.
Hate: Reused zones. I hate having to go to the same locations multiple times and spend the 2-3 minutes running along the beach to find the cave I need to get to the next iteration of the same cave they used for every single quest involving a cave. Also they use the same cave for every instance of needing a cave, they just make certain parts inaccessible in certain quests, but you can even still see the path on your mini map. Fail.
Hate: Another game I was excited about turned out to be horrible. I miss great games. =(
Also hate: Bethany is my sister and thus, not a romance option. >.>
