Gotcha. I guess that makes sense.
I think last time I played I was a Doctor, years ago, but I don't remember the other connections involved that can confirm each other. Civilian seems like a pretty blah role to take, but I guess its one of the largest roles.
Do all the mafia roles get different abilities like the Doctor and Sheriff (or Insane Sheriff from last game, unless that's just limited to that one game) or are they just like Civilians with some team ability? I'm guessing there's like some kind of Sniper or something, though I don't know how I'd change that into game mechanics (I remember the Doctor has a role like a Banshee's Veil, basically blocking a kill attempt but leaving themselves open to possible death). I remember that the Sheriff can do something to try to figure out people's roles a bit and try to convince others, and I think he had a team of cops to help out. In previous games (I know this game can have differences on a per game level), have the mafia ever had some kind of "Hacker" or "Spy" role that does similar? Like the TF2 Spy in that if they are investigated by a Sheriff then they can have their role appear as the same as someone else, or Hacker in that if they figure out who the Sheriff is, they can find out who he's investigating or such?
Would be some pretty cool roles to know about, though I guess we won't know all the roles in order to keep surprises in the game.
Does revealing your role tend to end with you dead right after? If a Doctor protects you from an attempt, would you be notified of it?
Trying to look through some stuff and see what might apply to this game, but if someone has quick answers to questions then it also helps to refresh me (and others) on these things.
