So I was looking back over the thread yesterday and thinking about some of the things I've said in previous mafia games. Specifically that you have to operate under the worst-case scenario if you actually want to be successful. Having decided upon that, I decided to forgo my investigation of Orsalis, who was next on my list and breakdown the scenario bit with that worst-case in mind.
So here we have Whompt claiming to be a doctor who has had evidence planted against him. Worst-case is that he is telling the truth and lynching him would rid of us our best form of protection. I would die that night and the townspeople would probably end up losing without being able to gather any more information.
With that train of thought I looked again at who's left. I know I'm innocent, so I check myself off. Rafael is my sibling and, since he was not the godfather, his "innocent" investigation does not seem suspect. Whompt I'm accepting as the doctor, so he's not guilty. If we're assuming Whompt is innocent, then Jarka is as well. Her move of protecting Whompt actually helps quite bit since now they are either both mafia or both townspeople; her innocence is directly tied to his.
That leaves us with Orsalis, Meer, and Leo. Take it back again to the worst-case. The last mafia member can plant evidence. Orsalis I'd already put on my list of who I think should be investigated and, by now, the mafia would have had time to plant evidence on both Orsalis and Whompt, so an investigation that turns up "guilty" for Orsalis is suspect, at best and false at worst; so I look to the other two that are left.
Between Leo and Meer, Leo seemed to have been very quiet over the past couple of days. So I investigated him. He came back guilty.
