Yes. You should see my old area, I pretty much burned down every tree or put torches all over the treetops, which looks pretty cool at night actually.
Also: Have you seen my new house? It's basically a hole in the side of a snowy hill, and there's a wooden door and a bunch of windows. I was really happy there, then I went to look around and fell into a crevasses and now I have no idea where it was.
Depending on how long stuff stays after you die, there's a diamond pick, one gem and all the sugar and redstone you can carry
