Help the Nova with Grammar

OK... I know I get ragged on for my typo's and grammar problems... so lets see if I can work on it a bit yeah?

OK... do I, or don't I capitalize the name of a race?

IE: 'The Namek glared his furious gaze'

Does 'Namek' need to be capitalized? Why or why not?

Depends on how you use it. I don't say 'The Human glared furiously'. I say 'The human glared furiously'. Human in this case is not a proper noun, it's just a regular, plain-old noun. If you're using Namek as a proper noun, as in 'I want to venture to the planet Namek', then, yes, you need to capitalize the word.
