Actually what really got the town from the get go was the loss of the Mime.
That and Doe pointing a target on his back, followed by Kaden as well with their blatant evolution. Doe could have held back and had 2-3 possible candidates evolve at once and not have Mafia know that he was so well a target.
Also... If Mewtwo used psychic on you before you evolved, after you evolved you would have fresh abilities that weren't disabled.
I actually liked the Hitmon-brother concept though. I was thinking about the original Yugioh cartoon when I created them. I cant remember the two monsters Think they were battle swamp ogres #1 and #2 and in the cartoon one would protect the other and so on. Then Vad and J-Meer got it and I thought it was going to be golden. Then when you look at who had the other roles it was almost like an allstar cast for the town.
Still would have been better if you had the Mankey and Magmar in it...
