The matchmaking won't make you wait for too long, hence getting paired up a lot. Otherwise the queue times in the 20s would be insane.
Yeah, it kinda sucks but it's better than waiting like 15+ minutes for a game with even levels.
And if you queue up as 5 people in a group it tends to put you against teams that also queued as 5.
