Man, there was this really awesome fan-comic of a little boy with shitty parents who kept getting visited by Spiderman, and at the very end he found out Spiderman was black, too, and he was like, awwe I'm inspired. I think Spiderman helped him with his homework or something adorable like that.
It was pretty awesome and I hope the new series matches the awesomeness.
