THE END AND THE BEGINNING.
Earth.
A serene planet, known to some as backwater, others, deadly.
And this time, its reputation would bring one requiring help. Much help.
Earth's orbit.
A streak of light suddenly blasted into the upper atmosphere.
It streaked across earth's atmosphere, flying over mountains, oceans, and desert.
Then, BAM.
It struck one of those mountains and bounced coming down again and into another ridge line; this second hit shattering the ship.
Its pieces blasted in every direction in 180 degrees.
A small speck continued to fly forward with the rest, it landing on the rocky plain at the base of the mountain.
The speck was black.
Or rather it wore a black jumpsuit.
It was humanoid actually.
Well, for all intensive purposes it looked human.
It also laid on its belly.
It didn't move.
Then....it did move...
"...uuughhhh..."
Dragging an arm forward from his side, the now noticeably male humanoid placed a palm on the ground and pushed, lifting himself up.
His blurry vision focused slowly on the ground in front of him.
He then fell to the ground again.
This time, repeating the process, he added another arm, and pushed up off the ground.
On his hands and knees, he stared at the dirt in front of him.
Splat.
Something dark and small hit the ground next to him.
Oh...it was blood.
The humanoid tried his best to stand, pushing up, moving a knee forward to get a foot under him and on ground.
He succeeded.
Standing wobbly, he could barely see straight...but full consciousness soon returned to him...as well as a splitting headache.
He turned his head, examined the landscape around him.
SHEEEEEOOOOPOOOM.
Something crashed in the distance, sending a massive mushroom cloud of smoke into the air.
He stared at the cloud, and wondered.
Something seemed to be coming of the cloud of dirt.
And now it was flying, stirring up the dusty pillar.
But what was it-
BAM.
A fist smashed his face, sending him falling backwards.
The fist thrower was no where to be seen.
Stunned, the humanoid in the black jumpsuit, caught his fall by stepping backwards. He looked to the side again, only to be hit by something nearly faster than he could see again from 90 degrees in the opposite direction.
Blood spilled from his mouth.
It was already caking his hair to his head and dribbling from there onto his face, but now there was more.
His vision blured again.
He staggered, barely able to stand.
Suddenly, a much larger humanoid appeared in front of him.
The male appearing humanoid, much larger, about a head taller, much more muscular, and with much more hair growing all over his head and two horns growing out of the back of his skull, grined at the male in black standing in front of him.
Grex"Sooo. You thought you could run. And where do you think you are running to, Adam? Hmmm?"
The man in the black jumpsuit, one eye nearly closed from the reeling pain and damage induced exhaustion, stared back in reply.
Grex"Haha, whats the matter. I know you can understand me. I didn't hit you that hard."
The man in black stared back still.
Then....leaped forward.
His fist hit the larger humanoid's jaw.
The larger humanoid fell back surprised, but anger soon showed and he smashed his fist into the black jumpsuit's abs, then smashed his other fist into the black jumpsuit's face.
The man in black blasted backwards from the impacts.
The larger humanoid clasped a hand around the wrist of the other arm's with its open, aiming palm. He fired a pink basketball sized energy shot at the man in black.
The man in black swung a fist as hard as he could, hitting the ball of energy with considerable force, a loud *PLOOM* going out as it bounced off his fist and flew off to the right somewhere as the man in black charged forward again.
The man in black threw another right at the larger humanoid as he closed in.
The humanoid blocked and countered, hitting the man in black right across the cheek, then sent his large knee into the man in black's abs, grabbed his head, lifted it up, smashed his forehead into the man in black's, and held the man in black, standing his nearly limp body upright.
Grex"You ready to go home yet? hahahaha!"
"What...are..you talking...about...?"
Grex pointed to the bump on the man in black's head.
Grex"Hahaha, what? Don't tell me! You mean you don't remember? AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!"
"What...why y-" The man in black said as he began to get angry again out of his punched stupor.
Grex"I can't believe it, you learned the big secret of your life, managed your grand escape, came all this way, and you can't even remember why?! HAHAHAHHA! If that's not irony then I don't know what is! HAHAHAHAH"
"HHUUUAAH-"
Grex blocked the fist the man in black threw and then threw one of his own right into the center of the man in black's chest right at the bottom of the sternum.
He flew backwards hundreds of feet, landed and slid on the ground skidded to a stop, held his chest in pain, then coughed up blood onto the ground.
Grex walked forward, casually, toward his victim.
Grex"No wonder I beat you so easily. Besides the crash damage, and the damage you took before your escape, you can't even remember how to fight. HAHAHAHA."
The man in black looked through hazy vision at the larger humanoid as the being walked toward him.
Grex"You know, I only have a power level of about 50,000. That's almost not enough to beat you. I thought with how savagely you destroyed the resistance to your escape and with your training and combat test results, I'd be torn to shreds trying to get you back. HAHAHA but what luck! A little bump and boom, you forgot everything. I guess they will have to retrain you if they can't make you remember, but then again, why would they want to? What you knew combined with who you were caused you to want to leave in the first place. If you can't remember why you left, then they don't have to kill you now."
Grex's earpiece chimed in.
Unknown overlord:"GREX, YOU FOOL! QUIT TALKING AND JUST CAPTURE HIM! YOU JUST SOWED THE SEEDS OF CURIOSITY IN HIS MIND! YOU MAY HAVE JUST DESTROYED OUR GOOD FORTUNE AT HIS MEMORY LOSS! HE CAN SUSPECT NOTHIIIINNNG!"
Grex's face changed from smug to frightened.
Grex"Yes, SIR! I uh sorry...I'll bring him right in!"
Grex smiled and stepped forward.
Grex"Well kid. Maybe I was wrong about you. Forget everything I just said. You know this was all a test right? Another combat simulation. Yeah. And you passed. You survived the time limit. Yeah. You made it." Grex said amazed at being able to make up a phony story like that so quickly.
Grex"And after this, you'll be even stronger."
Grex moved forward.
The man in black struggled as he grasped dirt with one of his hands, as he still tried to escape.
Meanwhile, the pink energy blast launched toward the sea...and exploded...and launched sea water high into the air, and sent a small tidal wave toward a nearby shore city.
The larger humanoid grabbed the man in black by the ankle and turned and walked toward the crater his ship made.
He whistled as if simply doing a days work while he drug the man in black toward the ship.
Grex"Just another day in the neighborhood, the neighborhood, dume dee dee dum." He badly sang.
Grex"You know, I can't understand why this planet is off limits and on the 'dangerous, avoid at all costs' list on every planetary information list in the galaxy. It's supposed to be home to THE strongest warriors in the universe. Pah. Hard to imagine when they let aliens randomly land on their planet and do what they want."
"M-maybe....they don't care....because you're... too....weak..."
Grex's eyes opened wider. He turned around with a questioning look.
Grex"You know, you get stronger the more damage you recover from. I bet you can still take a few more hits, so I'd keep my mouth SHUT if I were you."
Grex turned and continued to drag.
The man in black reached out and threw a rock. It shattered against the back of Grex's head.
Grex's eyes shot open in surprise.
His head turned slowly.
The man in black, barely able to keep his eyes open, turned the corner of his mouth up in a smirk.
Grex's mouth grit in anger and bared sharp teeth.
Grex"Fine, YOU WANT THIS?!"
He dropped the foot and stepped toward the man in black again.
But the man in black threw what he carried in his other hand into Grex's eyes.
Dust.
Grex"AHHHHHH"
He stumbled backwards.
The man in black pushed himself up with the help of gritted teeth and much effort, and stepped forward, yelled out, and threw a punch.
His fist impacted upon Grex's jaw so hard the noise echoed off the nearby mountain walls.
Grex's head sung to the side, and teeth and blood shot out of his mouth from the monumental punch.
A look of stunned stupor covered his face.
Grex stumbled back a step.
Then another while he turned his head slowly to look at the man in black.
His face quickly turned to insane rage.
Grex"THEY'LL JUST HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER OF YOU!!!!!" Grex's energy erupted from around him.
Grex charged forward
Grex stopped mid strike, his fist milometers from the man in black's face.
The proximity alarm for his space pod had gone off in his ear. The earpiece rang loudly.
The large man looked back in the direction of his space pod.
Grex"HEY! BUTTHEAD!! GET THE CRAP AWAY FROM MY SHIP!" he yelled at some bystander that had approached the crater.
The man in black took the lul in the fight to suddenly drop, sweep the leg of the larger man and smash his elbow into the alien's gut.
The black and mauve armored warrior (Grex) hit the ground, gasping for air.
The man in black raised his hands, clasped together, high into the air, yelling, ready to bring them down.
Grex panicked, formed energy as fast as he could, the orb forming in his hand...but then the fists came down, smashing Grex's lower ribs...and also causing him to drop the energy...
BOOOOOOOMMMMM
The massive explosion shook the nearby landscape and blew dust and air in every direction.
The air slowed, dust settled.
Dirt moved...then suddenly lifted, as a man, clad in black, the jumsuit ripped in many places, stood up in the crater.
He stepped forward, staggering slowly on, holding his arm, blood trickling down it.
He walked for a bit, then came upon the bystander that had been looking at the ship.
Out cold.
He squinted down at him.
The dirt and dust had mixed with the man in black's blood that was oozing from his forehead and was stuck to his face, along with his caked hair.
He kicked the man after a moment.
"Hey pal....*breathing semi heavily* ...You still alive?"
He needed to find the Z warriors and fast.
There might be more reinforcements on the way.
And as if he had called them in himself with that once sentence...
Many raging fireballs streaked across the sky.
They blasted left and right, again and again, into the terrain around the man in black and the unconscious bystander, scattering across the landscape like golfballs at a range, sending clouds of smoke and dust into the air.
The man in black took a step back.
The dust settled more.
A step.
Then another.
A silhouette appeared in the pillar of dust of one crater.
The man in black stepped back again.
