The RIOT Act

Context: In a recent game, I'm midding as Caitlyn against another Caitlyn. Enemy Caitlyn switches to top with Katarina. Ashe and Alex are laning top as Kassadin and Singed respectively. Laning phase goes on for about 5-8 minutes, where I've zoned Katarina out entirely, and have gotten twice as much cs as her, and twice as much cs as anyone else on the enemy team. Around here, Ashe says 'Maybe we should switch just to flip around their switch.'

I mention that I'm ahead on cs, that I'm doing very well in my lane, and I point out that for all the ruckus on top, they're about equal in cs with the other team, and haven't died much, so it's not exactly unequal. The AD carry is getting farmed well and above the enemy team, this is a good thing. Nothing more is said.

The game goes to shit, bot lane starts dying a lot, top lane starts dying a lot, and the game basically ends, and in the post-game wrap-up, it is made subtly passive-aggressively clear by Tim that the fault is mine, that the timid not-really-a-suggestion should have been followed, that we lost because of it.

This is why Ashe agrees with that post.
