Everything, no matter what it is said, must get turned into something stupid. There's no mature way to respond to anything it seems.
I agreed with that post because it is accurate. I am 100% at fault for not pushing harder to switch when you dug your heels in and informed us that you liked your lane comp better this way since "you were the carry and getting more farmed". I disagreed with the logic, but absolutely didn't feel like arguing with you, because that's never a worthwhile use of anyone's time.
So I was thinking about it afterwards and came to the conclusion that yes, I should have pushed harder for the switch when I realized we were both getting zoned and pushed hard by the Caitlyn. I recognized and said this within 30 seconds of her getting to lane, and you've adamantly insisted that not only was it "5-8 minutes later" but that they were "completely even on cs and getting no kills for it", which I later told you I disagreed with. This was when you started getting hostile with everyone, making sure to frequently call everyone out on every play they made while gloating at how your cs was super high and you dominated your lane, but we "were doing ok in our lanes for a while" (note - we were recalling nearly every time we got to the lane until she and Malphite pushed down our turret, that's the only reason we weren't dying at first, and they got a couple of levels ahead of us after that while completely denying us xp, using that advantage to free farm while we could do nothing about it) "until we started dying and feeding them", reminding us that "their cs is bad, but they are up on kills now because you keep dying, play better".
Every time you decided to make sure we knew that "you dominated your lane and we all fed, that's why we lost", I started to defend myself, watched you go even more hostile and troll mode, and gave up, which you THEN HAD TO COMMENT ON THAT AS WELL. Then I made a post that was not specially intended to antagonize you (despite knowing you'd read it that way), agreeing as it was an accurate statement that applied to that game, which is why I made the post, not so that you could run in and make this a thing by again throwing around how good you were and how we all ruined your game.
If you want to make sure everyone knows that you were going to super carry that game, then ok. I'll take 100% of the blame for not pushing harder for a lane switch instead of seeing how it was going to go. I knew the snowball effect was building, but my lack of confidence in said recognition (I hesitated, and shouldn't have) lead to the disproportion growing out of hand. I strongly suspected that scenario and when I recognized it, my self doubt caused me to second guess that maybe I could gear my way out of the issue (despite never being able to last hit anything to buy said gear).
If your perspective is that "I was totally dominating but then all you guys starting going full retard", then that's fine. Let it rest there (and I know you laughed, because you think me agreeing that we - read: ME TOO - should easier recognize and react to lane switches is instead me taking a shot at you, because that's what its always about, so 'obviously' I made the post just to bait you /s). But my perspective is that a lane switch, and perhaps repeatedly adjusting if they kept changing it, would have tremendously helped. The end result is that we both agree that I was in the wrong there. I'll use that to improve from.

Here's where I made my mistake:
Scenario: Lane starts with me going top as Kassadin with Singed. I request to go with Singed so I can get some farm while Singed zones, then he can hold his own while I roam for ganks. We have their Caitlyn go mid against Weemus on Cait, and our top lane is against a Katarina and Malphite. For the first two levels, it seems to be ideal. Weemus is handling mid fine (to my knowledge), and Katarina keeps trying to trade her blades with my Q, which is a bad trade. Then I hit level two and get Force Pulse, which her ability spamming starts charging a lot, allowing me to get it active more to try to farm a bit with while Singed threatens to toss her into Q range.
She recalls at low health, but goes to mid instead, with Cait coming top with Malphite. As soon as she arrives, she goes Q into Headshot proc and just shreds me. After that, the fact that she's not using abilities that often (keeping my Force Pulse from charging) while right click poking me everytime I go for a last hit (leaving her totally uncaring to my silence, which didn't trade as hard as her response). Malphite was fairly durable, so then they both poke me every chance they can with their Qs. I get to where I can't last hit anything, even at the tower, due to her range.
Mid goes somewhat well, with Katarina trading kills back and forth with Weemus, mostly even, but with Weemus getting the upper hand on farm.
I should have asked for the lane change as SOON as I recognize that Cait was going to control that lane, and I didn't. I let her hang around long enough to establish dominance while putting both Singed and I out of contention to be able to change lanes ourselves without feeding the other lane from being too far behind.
That was my fault.
Weemus, I even mentioned this in the post-game chat (telling them "Nice lane swap, it worked out great for you guys" and discussing why, with them agreeing), and you took THE FACT THAT I WAS DISCUSSING IT and me trying to attack you TOO.
Actually deleted stuff from this post, because despite it being exceeding long since I'm frustrated, there are things that I don't even feel like saying. No good would come from any of it, so what's the point?
Jonathan Meer Wrote:Context: In a recent game, I'm midding as Caitlyn against another Caitlyn. Enemy Caitlyn switches to top with Katarina. Ashe and Alex are laning top as Kassadin and Singed respectively. Laning phase goes on for about 5-8 minutes, where I've zoned Katarina out entirely, and have gotten twice as much cs as her, and twice as much cs as anyone else on the enemy team. Around here, Ashe says 'Maybe we should switch just to flip around their switch.'
I mention that I'm ahead on cs, that I'm doing very well in my lane, and I point out that for all the ruckus on top, they're about equal in cs with the other team, and haven't died much, so it's not exactly unequal. The AD carry is getting farmed well and above the enemy team, this is a good thing. Nothing more is said.
The game goes to shit, bot lane starts dying a lot, top lane starts dying a lot, and the game basically ends, and in the post-game wrap-up, it is made subtly passive-aggressively clear by Tim that the fault is mine, that the timid not-really-a-suggestion should have been followed, that we lost because of it.
This is why Ashe agrees with that post.
