If you need the MR, get Mercs. If you need the armor, get Ninja Tabi. If you don't really need either (or are going to itemize it elsewhere) get the CDR boots and build the Philo into Miracle.
It's not really about agreeing/disagreeing. The point you should take from Zhu is that items should always be considered situational. Don't pick Nasus already thinking "these are the items I will build." Yeah, there will be some core commonalities, but build for what you'll need the most.
