If I were to just coldly watch the last two episodes, I wouldn't be as affected but this was after a power watching of two full seasons of buildup to this. The crazy thing is that I know Series 3 is supposed to be even better (and each year after that more so), especially due to Weeping Angels and such, but HOW DO YOU FOLLOW THAT? Seriously?
Major thumbs up to those two episodes - they were a complete ride from the beginning to the end. And what an impactful, emotional end it was.
It gets even better. It really really does. Especially, in my opinion, when they change lead writers from Russell T. Davies to Steven Moffat. He's the one responsible for all the standout phenomenal episodes during Davies' reign (He wrote the Weeping Angels, in fact), so imagine a whole season of that.
Gah it's such a good show.
