So, about the new jungle.
The original spawn times are still the same (small camps at 1:40, buffs at 1:55), but respawn time of the small camps was reduced from I think 100 seconds down to 50 seconds for wraiths and 60 seconds for golems and wolves. Respawn of blue and red buffs are the same (5 min).
It's insanely easy to clear, but slower to level 4+ now. Seems like a new standard path will be wolves -> blue -> wraiths -> wolves -> red -> wraiths (lvl4) -> gank or double golems.
Also seems like it shouldn't be too hard to counter jungle either, just leave up one of the small mobs on the small camps (double golems are now different sizes, bigger one gives more xp).
Using Skarner in a custom game, doing the path listed, I was level 4 at 3:35 using the above path. That's about 10-15 seconds slower than my solo custom game path with Skarner before. But, that puts it back near what clear times were before the mastery remake.
This change might bring Nunu back as a strong jungler again simply because he is great at taking 1 or 2 minions from a camp and moving on, and with how the xp is set, taking the big minion hurts a bit more now. But he'd also be at a higher risk now as well since it's going to be a lot harder to judge where the enemy jungler is.
As far as how ganking is probably going to be coming out of the jungle now, do not expect your jungler to sit and wait more than 5-10 seconds for a gank. I'm most likely going to be looking for ganks as I'm clearing a small camp, if one doesn't seem available, moving on to the next camp and repeating. Waiting around too long for a gank is going to be way more noticeable of a setback for junglers now.
As for Top/Mid/Bot lanes... now, if you see a camp spawn near you (wraiths for mid, golems for top or bot depending on which team we are), if I am running in the opposite direction or am on the other side of the map, take that camp. Do NOT let it sit there and waste xp/gold. Kill it so it can start the respawn timer. Respawns are so low that it will respawn by the time I get back to it, and if not, kill it again. Also, at the start of the game bot (or top depending on which team we are) kill the golems. There is zero reason at all to NOT kill them at the start of the game anymore.
I tested mid taking wraiths at the start, but even if mid could do it without taking too much damage, it'd slow the jungler down too much, so that's not viable. However, like I said above, by all means take wraiths as mid or golems as bot/top if I am not near them and headed toward them. The longer they stay alive without dying, the more wasted gold/xp there is. Kill them and reset the timer.
EDIT: And yes, smite is still required. I don't care if you can kill this shit without it, it's still fucking required. You need smite for baron/dragon and buff securing. If you jungle, take smite. End of story.
