I'd probably suggest Final Fantasy XIII. Leveling up and fighting monsters should cover it. And she gets to see a badass female lead in a scripted storyline.
The Overlord games are also fun. A different playstyle, but it's got a decent sense of humor for kids and is pretty straight forward with its quests.
Or, if she has a Kinect, Just Dance because those games are awesome and it's impossible not to enjoy playing or watching other people play them.
