Yeah. I dunno exactly what the difference is, but it didn't shatter the illusion.
Might just be that I was like, 13, and more receptive to that sort of world-building. It's harder for me now, at 22, to be deeply invested in a game world in the way I used to be able to.
And Metroid Prime was one helluva emotionally-involved game.
