It's reasonable that there would be orphans, sure, but it's definitely a template.

I never said all of Karen's children survived into adulthood. I tentatively have imagined one late-term miscarriage and one child dead in infancy from disease. In a world, though, where difficulties in childbirth and childrearing are commonplace, twenty years have a dampening effect.

It's a template that there's an orphan? You're taking just as much of a template as her but trying to be cheeky by saying "I'm taking an average Joe!"

I guess overall my point is: STFU, nobody asked your opinion. You only ever say stupid inflammatory shit for NO REASON so keep it to your goddamn self.
