For some reason, my brain connected Ashe with the Vigilante. I have no idea why. That's just me... well... thinking poorly.
I would, though, contend that it's a forgone conclusion Mal is the Vigilante and killed Doe. If I'm mafia, I look at who I think will be the most outspoken or active of the townspeople. Those represent the largest threats you can accurately identify (Doctor and Vigilante are obviously the biggest threats). Killing the active players and leaving behind the people who are inactive or simply going along with whatever everyone else is makes for a very easy game. Doe was a good person to die for the mafia, regardless of who did it.
Yeah, it's entirely possible that it's just Mal killing Doe for the lawls, but Doe's death doesn't instantly point to anything.
