That's missing the forest for the trees. My frustration is that winning strategies combat the poor fundamentals rather than the opponent. Your deck must cause either: draw lands and thereby raise spell draw rates, or draw spell cards, or general card draws to beat the odds by volume.
Maybe it could be excused at first when TCGs were new, but it's been decades. The game itself is displaying what the problem is. Addressing the problem with two seperate libraries for the two card types would revolutionize the game on a number of levels.
