Where did you see that all the ps3 content would transfer? I swear that I read somewhere that it "couldn't" because of the hardware, but they were planning on giving you the ability to stream some of the "top" ps3 games.

The Sony Gaikai cloud network will connect all of your current content into one profile with the new content. Anything that works on PS3 will work on PS4, including PS1&2 games that are currently in the PS Store. Its likely going to work on new handheld systems, too.

Have you looked at Microsoft's planned buy sell trade gimmick? They will charge a fee for every p2p virtual trade, plus you need to buy a game code to make used discs work. Its designed to make used games as expensive as buying it new. They're trying to shut off the used market. I don't even know how rental shops or GameStop will deal with it, but if Xbox is replaced by PlayStation it might not be too painful for them.
