I think the arguments that the Xbox will get sold 5 to 1 forget that the average consumer probably didn't watch E3, doesn't follow forums and blogs or reddit about it. They just heard there's going to be a new Xbox and they're totes psyched. They'll queue up outside of their closest store and buy it on the release for the new Halo. Or they'll ask their parents to get it because they loved the 360 and want the new one.
I'm basically with Orion on this, though. I might get a PS4 because I missed out on a lot of PS3 exclusives I wanted to play. Or I might just get a PS3 once they become dirt cheap. But now that I have a gaming quality PC, I'm playing the vast majority of my games with no need to fuck around with disks or boxes, and for much much cheaper, and with better graphics. The only reason I'd get one of these consoles is for exclusives.
