“Let’s go,” Seventeen demanded in a particularly furious tone. He was staring at his forearm; apparently looking at something that was invisible to the Konat. Minoshia left it alone, seemingly oblivious to the nonexistent gore that lined the android’s arm. “I…I-I need to hurt something.” He growled the words through clenched teeth, his aura simmered around his body – waves of heat pulsating out from his being, glowing red energy slowly formed from the heat. Finally, the fervor gave way to an explosive cocoon of red flames that wrapped tightly around the machine’s hull and he stormed out into the wild – a primitive anger trailing behind him as he marched into the brush determined to kill. The Konat let a sadistic smile spread his lips and nodded a few times, rolling his shoulders and cracking his neck from side to side as he did so.
“Okay then.” He took off in a darting job, following the angry trail of the hybrid warrior. He had become particularly amused with his partner’s antics, in fact he was borderline pleased. This entire competition had been taking everything he had previously known about the android warrior, and turned it upside down. After a short while he came to an even position with Seventeen, falling in beside his tenacious gait. The perpetual silence fell over them again, an umbrella protecting them from the hostility of their conversations. A fire burned in the eyes of the raven haired gladiator, the steadfast darkness that was slowly blackening his soul showing itself to the world – making it’s presence known to their competition, should any of them be watching. As time continued to pass by, the dark prince began to see more of himself in his nemesis. It intrigued him in a way that few things could. As for himself, the flames had remained lit in Minoshia’s own charcoaled eyes for a majority of his time in the Abyss; nothing remained of his soul save a dark, rotted pit.
The sun filled sky had given away to the moonlight once more, the dominating patron of the night sky returning for the second evening on this island. The cool air brushed over their bodies, the breeze picking up slightly as they marched on into the darkness. There were few stars out tonight, and cloud cover acted as a veil over the giant bulb floating in space above their position. There was something about the blackened sky that made him want to rip someone’s innards from the trunk of their body. Seventeen had his personal reasons to desire a kill, and Minoshia simply wanted to entertain himself – and, of course, at the end of this tournament he wanted to be the one man to remain atop the mountain, the sole victor of the Abyss.
