Face to Face

Bubb Rubb, Reijin

Bubb Rubb was still alive, by some miracle. Ever since his scuffle with Retane in the starting hours of the game, he had found a small cavern on the beach, far away from anybody. There, he was able to nurse his broken leg and remain camping out, listening to the announcements every six hours and discover he was beating people out every day.

Suddenly, he heard something to right. Thinking quick, he grabbed his man-made crutch and began to wobble on the sand, moving south away from the sound. It wasn't that he was scared, it was simply a gameplan in order to survive.

This time the sound was actually a physical attack in the form of a ki blast. Bubb turned around as the blast hit the ground near him, but he couldn't see who was stalking him. Surely, somebody was after him. But he had been living off of crab meat and saltwater, so getting into any form of scuffle, especially if they were like Retane, was a bad idea.

Bubb Rubb climbed up onto a small platform and continued to hobble away, hearing the continuing crackle of the energy blasts on the ground behind him. Finally, he managed to get to a higher ground, untouched by any of the attacks, and he spun around.

A saiyan warrior was watching him from the place he had originally been camped out at. Bubb backed up a few more steps, just in case the warrior was going to attack from this long distance.

Suddenly, a beeping sound came from under him. He looked down and saw nothing, but suddenly his neck began to vibrate. He raised his hand to the collar and his eyes went wide.

This saiyan, Reijin, was not trying to kill him straight on. He had lured him into a danger zone! He had--

Reijin watched with a straight face as Bubb Rubb's collar exploded, first covering his head and then his entire body.
