Day Two: Evening

[Raditzu]

“Hey babe! Check this out!”

There was no way the saiyan could hide his excitement. He sprinted towards Eighteen, who had been scouting about for some food. The over-excited warrior extended his arms towards the android, taking care not to drop the contents.

“What? The bread?” Eighteen asked.

In the saiyan’s hands were two slices of bread. The android carefully lifted a piece of bread from the saiyan’s palm – they were obviously very important to him. When turning the slice of bread over in her hands revealed nothing out of the ordinary, Eighteen replaced it and cocked an eyebrow at her saiyan lover.

“Of course the bread! I found these slices at the bottom of my bag. I thought we were out.”

“Alright… so… what’s so special about the bread?”

“Nothing. Yet!”

From behind his back, the saiyan produced two pieces of metal, both in the shape of a ‘U’. One, however, was small enough to fit neatly inside the other. This was obviously supposed to impress the android, but she didn’t even know where to begin.

“Where did you get those?” Eighteen pointed at the metal shapes in his hand.

“Hmmm? Oh. From your little pistol thingy.”

“What?!”

“Don’t sorry, I’ll put it back together. But check this out.”

With a grin on his face, the saiyan placed the piece of bread into the larger metal U, then inserted the smaller ones on top of the bread. Using small bursts of ki, the saiyan heated the metal which, in turn, heated the bread. After several minutes, the saiyan set the metal contraption on a rock and stepped backwards to let it cool.

“You know what I got now?” Rad asked, his voice giddy.

Before the android could answer, though, the saiyan carefully and quickly removed the now toasted piece of bread. And to fake amazement of the androidess, it retained the ‘U’. To the android’s actual amazement, the saiyan also produced a handful of foliage and the shredded meat of a rabbit he had previously roasted.

“It’s taco time!”
