Lest We Forget
#9
=\ late... I was busy... anyway I'll post out f respect.

My grandfather served in the military practically all of his prime years in life, the only time off he got he spent with his family and running a small business on the side as well as building the house my grandmother lives in. When he came home from the war he was much out of shape, being a POW for almost the entire time he hadn't had the best of treatment but was still alright.
Then the years piled causing him to age much quicker, he gained weight and had a high blood pressure which eventually killed him... I'm not going on about him to make up a sad story, it's just that... if he wouldn't have gone to war to come back the man that I would eventually see laying in a coffin then maybe I could've had him around a little longer. Had him around to talk to, to get to know, to understand better. But I don't, and even though he's gone I still give thanks that he was out there helping retain the peaceful nature that the basic America stands for. Not all that legal stuff, but for the people who want to live their lives the way they want.
I deeply respect those that put their path against the wind to push on for a better tomorrow, because if they didn't, nobody would.
