Ok, which is the best, from the opinions of those that have actually tried these? No replies going "MMO sux!" please.
I haven't tried any of the above other than FFXI, which I'm very happy with, aside from a few MAJOR issues. I love the game, it's beautiful, and the Auction House is great, along with the music. But the economy is wrecked due to gil sellers and other people doing "gil=cash" sites. You now can't make money on that game, and SE seems to be just ignoring it.
EQ2... It looks nice, but I hated EQ, and doubt I'll ever play another game by Sony.
Lineage 2... Looks BEAUTIFUL, cinematically, but I've not heard much at ALL from the game. Any comments?
World of Warcraft... Seems I plan to be playing this myself when the release comes out, if I get my computer. I want to, but I don't want ot ditch FFXI. But if FFXI doesn't plan on fixing some issues, I may have to, b/c I can't pay that monthly fee, and then not be completely happy. And if I stop for more than three months to play something else, or for other reasons, they delete my account unless I keep paying. And then you have to rebuy all your stuff to reactivate. I guess it's to stop those EBaying characters though.
There's also Shadowbane, which I tried. Was nice, very nice, but god that game was so buggy that it made Win 98 look like a rock solid performer. I wanted a can of Raid everytime I tried to play it. It sucked to be running from something, get halfway to town, and suddenly you appear thirty feet behind the monster that was chasing you, who happens to have a bow, and he turns around and shoots you to death. It was called warping, where the game lagged in response time, and suddenly caught up with itself, repositioning you to where IT though you should be. Usually right in the middle of a mob camp.
Anyways, opinions wanted.
