Krillin appeared in the teleportation tube, his feet stuck up in the air and his weight resting on his back. He never could quite grasp the trick with these things. Everyone else seemed to use them fine, but Krillin always had problems.
After quickly straightening himself out, he walked into the only building with any commotion: the bar. Krillin wasn't a drinker himself, preferring to keep his senses alive at all times, but he wasn't the type to refuse funny company.
Walking into the rather bright hut, he noticed an old friend at a table in the corner, happily munching away at a chicken wing. Since he was the only one he knew out of this entire place, he decided to approach him.
"Hey Kirano! How's it been? Didn't expect to see you here!" Krillin said.
Of course, his last comment wasn't meant at a dig at all, but Krillin saw that it could be misunderstood. He didn't think Kirano would take it the wrong way, but he didn't want an out-and-out enemy on him from the get-go. Besides, Kirano was his only hope of a partner in this entire fight, and from the looks of it, he could use all the help he could get.
