Loading Platform A

[Burter]

Everyone had gathered around in the bar mainly, only a few people walking around the other areas of the station. After Burter took his rest in the sleeping quarters, he moved away to find a gym or some kind of training station. He tried following the signs the best he good, but he was having no luck and ended up finding something far different. His emerald skin glowed in the sunlight as he walked outside. In front of him was probably the largest cliff he had ever seen, and straight at the bottom, was an ocean.

Water...

He took a breath, trying to bring back the memories he had. Being a reptile, he had a natural knack for swimming like an amphibian. Though it had been so long since he had actually gone swimming...he hadn't touched water since his brother's untimely disappearance. Never one to miss a chance like this, he looked back to make sure no one was watching. Then he kicked his legs into the air and moved forward, heading straight down in a nosedive. His speed increased as the wind pushed passed him, forcing him to close his eyes before hitting the water.

His speed caused him to go several feet deeper then he intended, but it didn't stop the reptile. While he may have been called quick on land, it was no where near as quick as he was in the ocean. Burter moved like a silvery fish, brushing through the water quicker then anyone could imagine. He began to laugh to himself, taking some water in a he remembered the childhood memories. Racing against his brother, play wrestling, and even meeting the woman who he would hope to marry. He remembered it all happened here....underwater.

Water...

The reptile suddenly gagged on the water without meaning to, and with his newly found quickness, he dove upwards out of it. After coughing the water up, he quickly dove back in headfirst. However now he could feel the poison he once tasted as if he only had it yesterday. The reptilian could recall the green faze that had appeared in the water, and he could even imagine seeing his brother going into the small cave, as if it was right there in front of him. He could recall it all, and it made the need to swim more and more powerful.

Finally, Burter jolted out of his dream world and slapped out of the water, flying directly up the cliff and away from the universe that was underwater. He took one last look and remembered one more thing. His brother. The last time he ever saw him...screaming for him.

His skin darkened as he walked inside. He was dry already thanks to his skin absorbing the majority of the water. He started picking the skin that had begun to slip off his body. Yawning, he just continued walking back towards the bar.

One flaw about being a reptile...was shedding.
