Goku's irritation finally got the best of him and he started to reach for the inconsiderately fitted collar about his neck. Anything that restricted any part of his body was quickly hated by the Saiya-jin. Suddenly, he recalled a small portion of the speech the Dante group was given before boarding the ship. He was surprised he recalled it, during most of the talk he was focused upon his self restraint to belt Reijin across the room. The speaker said something about the collar self destructing if it was tampered with. It didn't appear to be activated yet, but Goku didn't really want to take that chance.
"Kame Kame Jump!"
The Saiya-jin turned to the sound of a kind childish voice, knowing instantly who it was. Before he could set his ebony eyes upon his youngest son, he felt a heavy weight make contact with his chest and he fell onto his backside. Goten dropped his back into Goku's open hands and gave his cheesy, happy-go-lucky grin. Goku laughed.
"I see you've been working on your kamekameha's," Goku said approvingly, staying seated on the ground as warriors passed them by. A few of them gave the Saiya-jin dirty and disrespectful looks, finding it foolhardy and unprotective to let a child fight in such a tournament. Goku knew better, of course.
"I met your big blue friend today," Goten stated with enthusiasm, before leading onto his question. "I asked him if he could go all golden like you can, and he said he can sort of do it. What does that mean?"
Goku smiled. He put Goten on his feet and stood up. "He can do this," Goku said before his crimson Kaioken aura exploded around his body. Goten's eyes opened wide in innocent surprise. He never saw his dad do that before.
"Wow," murmured the awe struck halfling, the red light bathing over his face. Goku got a few more gazes from other warriors sensing his power. Some started worrying about their chances in the tournament, others had no facial change. The Saiya-jin dropped out of his base Kaioken form and picked up Goten, placing him on his shoulders. The small Saiya-jin put his hands on his father's forehead.
"So Burter can do that?" Goten mulled out loud. "Wait a minute, that's not golden!"
