Reijin appeared within Area A, next to his ball of energy he had fired. It continued it's blinding path northwest, and was soon out of sight. He sighed, and then dropped down from the sky quickly, not wanting to attract attention. From where he was located, he could see a lake close by. He checked his location on his scouter, and found that he was near a bunker, in the south east side of Area A. He turned, and jumped with a start. He saw a shimmering field of energy nearby. According to the map on his scoutter, that was to be the "barrier". It seemed to shimmer, as a flat energy field that stretched upwards as far as the eye could see, and out to the sides for a good distance. His feet touched the ground, and noticed some forms coming closer. He could feel very strong power levels from them.
He tightened his fists, and cracked his knuckles. He began to walk towards the barrier, awaiting the fight that seemed to be coming. Two warriors landed, while Reijin pressed his back to a tree, turning and looking as he lowered his power level. "They said we can't go through those things... To me, they don't even look solid." one of them laughed. The other chuckled with him, and then fired a quick beam through the barrier. Reijin ducked behind the tree as the beam flew into the ground next to him, exploding. He peeked back around the corner, and saw them shaking their heads. "Nothing. I think we've been lied to." the second one voiced.
With that, the two leapt into the air, and flew towards the barrier. The beams had gone through without disturbing the barrier at all. Reijin watched carefully as they grew closer. The warriors reached ten feet from the barrier when suddenly coils of lightning sparked out, catching them off guard. Their eyes went wide as they were hit by the lightning, their bodies suddenly tightening up and convulsing. They screamed, and then the lightning seemed to hold them in place for a few seconds, electrocuting them without mercy. As suddenly as it began, the lightning ceased, returning to a colorless shimmering barrier as the two blackened forms dropped to the ground, smoke pouring up from their blistered bodies.
Reijin's eyes widened slightly, and then narrowed. The barrier was impressive, to say the least... Now... he had to decide how to use it to his advantage... But first... He turned and began to run quickly across the terrain. The area was pretty open, a clear field covered by a few sparse trees around him. He didn't want to attract too much attention by using his Ki, so each step counted. Soon he came over the top of a hill and stopped, looking around. He saw that the lake was still to his left, and saw a couple of warriors walking around near it. He turned to the bunker that had appeared off in the distance, and then ran towards it.
Moments later he had crossed the threshold of the bunker, and ran inside the doors, leaping into the air and landing in a roll, coming up with his hand pointed to the doorway. He sat there silently, watching the door, his heavy breathing echoing in the silence. Noone. He rose, and turned, scanning the base. It seemed that noone had arrived here yet- No, he heard a few noises off in the distance. He walked to the supply cabinet and grabbed some, and looked into a mirror. He noted that the light on his collar had changed from an ominous looking red to a calming blue. He assumed that it meant the collar was temporarily deactivated and he was supposedly safe.
One thing was sure. From his conversations earlier, Trunks would probably be waiting for him somewhere. Reijin didn't like the feelings they had towards him, as his taste for Trunks and Kakarot was no longer personal... but he was not going to be soft. He was going to be the cold warrior he had to be to win this tournament. There would be time to make amends later. He had tried to talk to them, and they would hear nothing of it. There would be more time to talk in hell. For now, he had a tournament to win. If they took it personal, then they had no true Saiyan fighting spirit.
Reijin turned and walked through the bunker, searching for any inhabitants...
