Area A: Day One
#25
Jacke Low had no time to respond. Just as he locked eyes with the fires of a demon, a fierce wind blew. Its biting cold forced him to shield his eyes and look away, the warrior tightening his garments. As the wind began to die down, Jacke Low shuddered, shaking off the icy air about him. He opened his eyes, expecting to look back to the turned form of his opponent. Instead, however, he was met face to face with the hulking form of a robust fighter. Solid white stared back at him, causing him to yelp and fall to his feet. Golden locks of hair flowed vibrantly with energy as the creature took a step towards Low, who proceeded to scramble backwards in sheer fear. ?W-Who are you?!? cried the human, barely making his way to his feet. The creature simply smiled back. Leaning forward, Low squinted at the face of this warrior. ?Broli?? The creature nodded. ?B-But how?? stammered Low. It simply wasn?t possible for someone to grow to a height nearly that of a towering seven foot giant. The muscles of his body had expanded wildly, as if someone has stuffed the character in every place imaginable.

?What are you?!? Burori cackled into the sky, grinning madly from ear to ear. ?A demon? A destroyer?? He began taking steps towards Jacke, who stepped back in complement. His aura flared as he lashed out an energy orb that found its way into Burori?s armor, exploding into nothing more than a layer of smoke that the Saiyan easily stepped threw. Another orb was thrown, followed by the a third, the results the same as the first. Having no alternative, Jacke Low made a final jump back, cupping his palms at one side. Electricity sparkled around his form as energy sizzled within the center of his palms, jade light illuminating the scene. Broli continued to step forward, unfazed by any intimidation that the human hoped to instill. How fortunate he would have been if such a thing had worked ? and yet, he knew there would be no such hope for something so futile. With that, he prepared to pour all of his energy into this one, final attack. Broli was only feet away. Jacke gritted his teeth in fear, a shiver rushing down his spine as he realize that he wouldn?t have time to charge the attack to its full potential. ?Spirit Blast!!? he roared, pushing his palms forward will all his might. An emerald light, blinding anything and everything, came first, followed by an earth-booming blast that hit directly into Burori?s chest. It ripped past the Saiyan, both melting and evaporating the snow and cratering the solid earth. The deafening sounds of it all caused avalanches to occur deep within the Frozen Spine, snow rushing in multiple places across the chain of mountains.

As the light began to fade, and the smoke began to clear, one figure could be scene. It was Jacke Low, his arms weak at his sides, one knee buckled. Not even the cold could appease the sweat lacing his body that heaved to regulate breathing once more. He paid attention to nothing other than the mass of smoke only a feet or so before him, hoping, just hoping that his attack was successful. And then, in a flash, an arm broke through the barrier and latched onto Low?s throat. Burori?s head stuck out from the smoke, his pupilless eyes scaring Low to the brink of begging for salvation. As the Saiyan tightened his grip, a gust of wind cleared away the rest of the smoke. A faint circle of blackness could be scene on the armor, the most of the damage to the armor being a miniscule crack, Broli himself only visibly having a scratch or light bruise here or there. The Saiyan tightened his grip, grinning in sick pleasure as he lifted the human into the air. Jacke struggled to be set free, his legs flailing as he gripped Broli?s wrist with both hands attempting to break the demon?s hold. His face grew red, blood pouring through his veins as oxygen began to grow small in supply. And then, with a squeeze from Burori and a snap from the human, the Saiyan cast the body to one side and disappeared into the wilderness, leaving the snow to act as a burial for Jacke Low?
