Area D: Day One

Zone D:

The northwester border of Area D seems to blend the snowy harshness of Area A with the swampy marshland of the warmer Area C. Further east, however, the land begins to grow warmer. Bitter to the constant fighting, the area has grown devoid of any form of vegitation, and the earth has taken a harsh steam to it. Open wounds in the earth's surface bleeds pockets of steam and ash into the air, scalding those that step wrongly through this area. Blisters are easily spread, and broken rock lies everywhere. Closer to the southernmost side, the land grows even more hot and humid, as it approaches the base of a volcano know as the "Eye of the Infernal", shadowing over the nearby bunker. Climbing this treacherous mountain volcano of ever breaking ground is a trail of constant flowing molten lava, ebbing down the easternmost side until it reaches the great canyon behind the bunker known as "Dante's Scar". This canyon runs along the eastern side of Area D, with a constant flow of molten rock running along it's bottom. Many caves have been carved into the sides of the canyon by creatures known as Hellions, insectile creatures that live off of warriors that come near the cave. Synex has attempted to eradicate the creatures, but the numbers of them have thwarted every attempt, sweeping into the soldiers and dismembering them without feeling. Rising to the northern border, things begin to return to a more tranquil, grassy plains as it crosses into Area B, with only a few sparse patches of solidified molten rock.
