The bright light slowly faded. But amongst the fallout of the blast, a strange new figure could be seen. It was...
"No..."

Android 20 shot out of the cot in a cold sweat. His eyes were wide and bloodshot, having had his nightmares constantly repeating the death of his friends. The doctor rubbed his hand across his forehead, trying to get himself to calm down.
"What's done is done, Gero. It's in the past now, there's nothing you can do to change it." 20 told himself.
He looked around the bunker. His eyes drifted lazily over many fighters he had never seen before, but then they came to rest on a most hated being. Lying just merely a few cots away, that traitorous murderer, King Cold, slept soundly.
"Zarbon look out! No!"
He could feel his hands clenching into fists unvoluntarily. He was almost shaking with fury, but then the android part of him spoke in the back of his mind.
"No, not yet Gero. You will kill him later, and with honor. Attacking someone in their sleep is dishonorable, and shamful. Be patient. Our time will come."
Dr. Gero shook himself, not wanting to hear anymore from his ruthless android side. But, the android was right, attacking him now would be cruel and dishonorable.
Android 20 rose from his cot and stretched. He gazed out the foggy window of the bunker. The rough terrain of Dante still stretched vastly out across the horizon, twisted dead forests frequented the landscape of Area C.
Gero walked to the door of the bunker, and checked his collar. It wasn't beeping, so he figured that was a good sign that he wouldn't be dusted anytime soon. Letting his white aura erupt about him, Android 20 lept into the air, and turned on his scanner.
Or, would have, but his scanner was still cracked from the melee he was in the other day. He would need to go to the Syntex base to restock on his supplies, not to mention that he needed to replace his totaled saiyan armor.
He shot in the direction of the base, watching seemingly endless dead forests streching beneath him. He gazed upward again, and sped up, trying to get the the base as soon as possible. After several minutes of flight, the android spotted the large rectangular structure jutting out of the landscape like a sore thumb. Letting his aura disappear, 20 slowly descended to the ground and walked up to the base.
Stepping in the door, he quickly found the restocking area for fighters. A wondrous machine held everything he needed. By pressing each and every button, he obtained one of each of the following: One functional scouter, a new set of saiyan armor, a senzu bean, and a stasis field grenade.
Each item popped out of the dispenser with a metallic ringing noise, and the doctor quickly donned his scouter and armor. Placing the bean and grenade in his pocket, Android 20 was back in action, ready to fight again.
Stepping outside the base, he once again let the familiar white aura surround him, and he shot of in the direction of some of the forests in Area C. He would need to use every possible advantage if he wanted to win. As he was looking for a suitable ambushing spot, his new scouter beeped loudly.
A power level reading within a thousand of his own was radiating from the forest below. Maybe this time he could get into a fair fight. Dropping down into the dank, cold forest, Android 20 glanced about, looking for his adversary.
After no sign of the fighter at first, Gero began walking through the stagnant forest. As he walked about, something very pink caught his eye. A flower. A bright, pink, living flower. Gero was extremely suprised. He was amazed to find anything alive in this forest at all. He sauntered over to the flower, and was about 5 meters away, when suddenly, gnarled roots burst from the ground, and wrapped around his feet. Shocked at what was happening, the doctor had no idea what was going on, until he heard a voice.
"Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh. You are so gullible. Walking straight into my little trap. Now welcome to your doom, for I, Ashara, shall be your DOOM!"
