Burter and Kami both headed to meet Paragus, probably to make sure he was alright, as far as Bra could tell. Once again, she allowed herself to stay a few feet back, still preoccupied with Burter's actions back in the last bunker they'd visited. The cyan-haired girl absent-mindedly toyed with the elegant silver bracelet her friend had given her for her birthday. The artifact itself was very attractive and probably cost Lakon dearly, but it's sentimental value still managed to outweigh that fact. The halfling was so lost in her thoughts that she completely ignored both Burter's attempts to talk to her as well as the high-pitched sound being periodically emitted by her tournament-issue collar.
"Bra! Pay attention, kid!" Burter demanded, now taking steps toward his younger companion.
"Oh... sorry. Hey, what's with the beeping on our collars?" she asked, now hearing it for the first time. It was remarkably annoying.
"It's a warning. We need to get to a bunker soon or we'll be knocked off. What's bothering you?" the muscle-bound reptile inquired.
"Hm? Uh, nothing. Scouter says there's a bunker just a short way north of here. Why don't we go there?" Bra suggested, trying desperately to change the subject while making a point to avoid looking Burter in the eyes.
"Kami, what do you think? Northern bunker sound good?" the blue-skinned warrior asked.
"Sure, seems pretty close. We'd better get a move on. Don't want to be caught in a fight before we can get these suicide-collars deactivated." Kami warned, and then launched himself into the deceptively calm blue skies. Bra, Paragus, and Burter all leapt into the air in pursuit, following the white-and-green figure that was Kami.
Momentarily, the four warriors touched down on the arid, cracked and brown dirt, each avoiding the sparse patches of tall, rough elephant grass that wavered only slightly in the hot breeze.
"Wow, this place sure looks boring, huh?" Bra stated, evoking a short-lived smirk from Paragus. The demi-Saiyan was forced to smile as well, glad that Paragus finally had some form of positive glimmer escape him. He must have truly been disappointed, and it hurt to watch the Saiyan's pain.
The four warriors gazed upon the sun-baked concrete bunker, taking note of the powerful shield emitters and the defensive energy turrets, which were clearly inactive. Without wasting any time with words, the four quickly headed into the fortified structure, accompanied with a loud chirp which announced that their collars had each been deactivated for the day.
"I'll go activate the turrets. May as well be protected while we're here." Paragus decided, heading off to the computer, which was located in the same place it was in every other bunker.
"You know... I think I'm sensing Goten's energy somewhere..." Bra said, more to herself than the other two nearby compatriots.
