Area C: Day Three

Android 20 was standing erect on the ground, reflecting on his life. His victories, his defeats, his friends, his foes, all of his nostalgia for bygone days of his youth, when he didn't have to live in the body of a machine. The silence was excruciating to him. He felt so terrifyingly alone. But then, he heard a whisper. Had he not been an android and had advanced hearing receptors, such a noise of such low decibel quality would have gone unnoticed. But he spun around to see a lone figure in the sky above, and also, multiple energy blasts raining down from the heavens.

Having very little time to react, Dr. Gero threw his arms in front of himself in a cross-like formation. The attacks came down, not very hurtful, but still enough to make him wince a bit. When the last blast fell, a young looking woman landed on the ground a few feet away. One look was all the mechanoid needed. She was a saiyan. The look of disgust on her face was very effronting to the old man, not quite sure what she was thinking.

After several moments of an akward silence, Android 20 decided to speak.

"So, I assume you've come to fight me?" 20 asked with a fake politness to his voice.

"That's what it looks like doesn't it codger?" the saiyan girl answered smartly.

"Codger... In my day we used to hit people for such language. Oh, how times have changed." Gero thought.

"Well enough small talk. Let's get started." The android spat back, letting his white aura whip around him. "But let me warn you. I did not make it this far to be defeated easily!"

The saiyan girl answered by unleashing her own spiky aura, and flinging herself at him, arm raised back, ready to strike.

The battle began furiously. Android 20 was once again baffled by the saiyan race's ability to fight. She was very capable as a fighter, and it was evident her strength far outclassed his own. Fists rained down on the android's defense, as he blocked as many attacks as he could. Finally, a kick flipped his feet out from under him, and he lost his balance. As he began to fall, he saw a fist right in front of his face.

"I'm getting too old for this." Gero thought right before the punch connected.

He was sent sailing upward, and the saiyan girl followed in pursuit. 20 was being humiliated, and realized he had to go on the offensive if he wanted to stand a chance. He regained his balance in the air, and came soaring down to meet the woman in midair.

He threw punches at the saiyan as fast as he was capable of, a forearm smash from the right, an uppercut from below, his attacks were numerous, but none seemed capable of breaking through her defense. After minutes of frustration, the youth became impatient, and threw a roundhouse kick at the android. This was Gero's opportunity, reacting just quick enough to push off of the incoming kick, he spun and threw a side kick at the girl's face.

Now it was the girl who was sailing away, down towards the ground below. But before she slammed into the dead, lifeless ground of Area C, she flipped forwards, and landed on her feet.

The two fighters took a moments pause, Android 20 monitoring her fighting style from above, and the saiyan girl analyzing his techniques from the surface. This pause would not last long, but it allowed each side to formulate a plan for defeating their opponent.
