I just wanted to say a few things about this. I don't know how many of you have ever been in a staff position, or how many of those trying out have had to deal with the administrative process, but don't be too freaked out about it. We don't want everyone to get pissed off and throw themselves off a bridge or anything like that. Sure, its serious, but that doesn't mean you can't have some fun with it. That's one of the big jobs of a moderator, knowing when its ok to joke around, and knowing when to switch over to staff mode. I know, for me, there are a lot of things that I say/do on these boards that is completely contradictory to how I do them outside of this setting. If I were a normal member, I would be a completely different person on these boards.
The other thing that's important is that you interact with your group members the same way you would work with us staff members. The number one thing that will cripple any set of staff members is a lack of communication. If you can't communicate with the people around you, no matter how creative or talented or hardworking you are, you just won't make it.
I had some more things to say, but I'm running out of Dr. Pepper and my attention is rapidly being distracted. So, I guess its just important to have fun and give it your best.
