And that was it. Selipa had surrendered, rather than to fight a battle she knew she could not win. Bardock didn?t much care for the blatant self-offering of his former foe, nor was he concerned with whatever residual effects it would leave in the relationship of the trio. He was here to fight, not get involved with the dramatics of others. She was gone; he was alone again. Nothing new. The only worry was the patience of the blond; could she wait until Raditzu was finished with Bardock?
The elder man stared long and hard at the golden tresses of the Super Saiyan that stood before him. Raditzu was taller than him, but not by much. The son had amassed so much power, the greatest in fact of their race. The superiority of the fight was unequivocal. Bardock could not help but feel a sort of paternal pride that he was so grossly outclassed by his first born. However, emotional attachments were uncommon of such a bestial people, and the father expected the same intemperate disbursement of punishment for being weaker as he would of anyone else. It was almost sad?almost.
Take it away Pops, had been the cue.
Deep within the central core of his being, Bardock?s insufficient power began to arise from its latency. Physical symptoms began to materialize, ever present signs of his concentration. Heart rate and respiration increased, blood coursing through his veins at an exponential rate. A familiar tingling sensation could be perceived as his life energy channeled through every fiber of his body. Self-generated winds emanated from his body in a flash of dazzling white light, causing his fine black spikes of hair to stand on end. The strain became apparent on his muscles as well. A living capacitor could only generate so much power before its adequacy was transcended. Bardock bent over, feet shoulder-width apart, arms locked back into a chamber position. He let forth an unchecked howl as he brought forth everything he had, albeit it was not enough. Raditzu stood by, completely unaffected. This presentation was as nothing to him, if not amusing. The very tail of his long hair was blown slightly abroad, but nothing more. Finally, the disclosure of the older man?s true abilities was complete. Aura shining brightly in defiance of his self-elected fate, Bardock stood tall intent on facing his end like a true warrior.
Bardock could sense the intolerance of his crowd. This fight was meant to be a simple, quick coup de grace. He had no qualms with this; it would not be difficult to determine a victor, but before this battle was begun, he felt he had to say something.
?For what it?s worth, I?m sorry. Give my regards to Kakarotto,? he uttered, face emotionless, eyes burning.
With the final syllable, Bardock lunged at the Super Saiya-jin. He gathered a concentration of energy in his right fist, and with the force and imbalance typical of a haymaker, Bardock threw the first blow. Raditzu turned, barely even shuffling his feet. The five knuckles slid right by his chest, not even grazing the material on his torso.
How disappointing.
OOC: Not much of a fight starter, but I?ll get there. Your move.
