Mike Trind: This lowly Corporal was used as a test dummy for a experiment. They Earth forces needed a way to sneak weapons onto the Elemental's planets without the inhabitants knowing. So scientist engineered a machine that would make it able for the men to cloak there weapons and make it seem as though they were invisible. When he was tested, something went wrong with the machine--it was a early model and some person took a shortcut in the building process. The experiment worked, but after a month the power went away.

So after rebuilding the machine, they tested it on Mike, it worked, but, it was still temporary. When other men under went this procedure, it was perminent for them. So they gave Mike the machine so that he could take it at the beginning of every month. He has been illegally, though, letting other men have this done to them on his machine. If you have the cash, he will do it for you. The thing is, you have to impress Mike with your skills as a fighter to let him put you through the machine.
