Area A: Day Six

Both Saiya-jins locked their cold, ebony eyes together. The dusty ground outside the Area A bunker provided the barren, empty battlefield that the warriors would find exemplary for the release of their racial bloodlust. Goku had enough of being orchestrated like a pawn in a chess game, and it was taking a toll on his patience and the hold on his temper. After all that happened in his past; the LMS, the FoF, the war against the Legendary Super Saiya-jin, he was slowly losing grip on who he used to be. So many evil acts had been committed before and by him, because the situation called for it. His mind was a raging tempest, unable to be calmed until the animalistic ferocity could be uncaged and funnelled from his tortured soul.

Even in his indulgent self assessment, Goku could see similar signs in the other Saiya-jin's eyes. His dark eyes held an indescrible secret that almost screamed out loud. Goku attempted to give Broli, as he found out in his rummaging, a fast mental probing with his telepathic powers. Due to the weak and inexperienced strength of his mental energies, he found out only the Saiya-jin's name before he hit a brick wall.

There was something deep inside this Broli that didn't, and wouldn't be found if it had it's way. Goku left the mystery of Broli to remain just that as he steadied himself for the battle.

"Did you find what you were looking for?" Broli stated slyly, cutting the tension in the air so suddenly that it gave the battle hardened Goku a shock.

"I..." Goku wasn't aware that the Saiya-jin could feel his telepathic powers when he utilised them. Caught offguard, Goku knew not what to say. Such a unique ability to notice that deepened Goku's curiosity about Broli. Or was it possibly that he used his powers so novicely that it was easy to pick up?

Finding his mental footing again, Goku tensed his biceps and curled his forearms upwards slightly, forcing his raging blue aura to the surface. Standing and probing the secretive Saiya-jin would get him nowhere. Goku desperately needed to release the built up tension that coursed through his blood. His power level easily peaked over the one million mark, not wanting to take any chances with the mystery fighter. Broli stood up to the challenge, his energy inside him soaring upwards like an eagle, matching Goku step for step. The Earth raised fighter furrowed his brow and catapulted his power even higher, close to his maximum strength without the aid of his boosters. Broli steadily increased his own, but not to level with Goku. This would indeed be an interesting fight.
