This is how it is in MY perspective.
Blue Nameks were the warrior race on Namek. They were initially supposed to stop because the wars on Namek had ended. But for the Blue Nameks who DIDN'T stop the fighting, they were banned underground and to never walk the surface. So if they become light sensitive from that, then fine. But the main guy has powers or has an adviser with powers and they finally break the magical barrier on which Guru had made to keep them from the surface. Then they turn the whole planet of Namek to a large storm where clouds cover every shred of light. In the darkness, the Blue Nameks who are very quick and strong get Guru aftrer knocking out his gaurds and take him underground. The hole from the barrier is still open and there you have it.
