Yes they did. The very first Batman movie, involving Joker killing his parents. This one is kinda just overwriting that now, from what I gather.

This one ignores those other piece of shit movies. They don't count anymore.

Plus that whole, Joker killing his parents thing was made up for the movies anyways - his parents were gunned down by some plain old thug.
