Her pleased expression conveyed all that he needed to know. ?How did you come to this conclusion??
Continuing to hold her gaze, he replied to her. ?Partially based on what you told me earlier, and partially on what I just found out. I was trying to simply will something into existence that I have no power to cause.?
She nodded. ?So how do you plan on manipulating this power indirectly??
The Saiyan turned around and looked off into the darkness. ?I do not think that this is something that I?ll be able to accomplish immediately. It?s going to take further practicing, probably over a period of time.? He turned to her, and going against all expectations, he suddenly kneeled to her. He found himself reminded of his introduction to Kasumi when he was a child. ?Will you accept me and train me??
Watching him curiously, the woman dropped to the ground into a cross legged position. ?I don?t like it when people do that.? She yawned at his expression of reliability with little knowledge of what it meant coming from him. ?Why should I do this??
He gave her an angry look as he finally shifted his position to a seated position of his own. ?Because you put this inside of me!? She gave him a quizzical expression.
?Put what inside of you? I thought we?d already concluded that it wasn?t something that came from the inside?? she laughed.
Reijin groaned in irritation. ?Are you just playing with me?? he finally asked.
She pushed off of the ground, pushing herself to her feet, and finally her flames extinguished and she extended her hand out to Reijin. He took it and suddenly a searing flame surrounded him and covered him. He panicked slightly, and took a step back as he rose to find the flames extinguishing again. She smiled. ?Remember that.? She finally turned her back to him, and then suddenly fell backwards against him.
He caught her by the arms and found himself holding her weight as she playfully rolled her head back in his grasp to look him in the arms. ?Come on, let?s get out of here. We?ll continue this later. We have work to do.? She suddenly vanished, and before Reijin could say a word he had vanished as well.
The two appeared at the top of the tower with Akira walking over to Katel to whisper something before giggling a bit. The two gave Reijin a look, and then everyone heard a noise from below. They all rushed towards the stairway and jumped down it, quickly descending to the bottom to see a glowing form.
?Gabriel,? Reijin whispered as he lowered himself to the ground gracefully.
Olibu was at the bottom of the stairwell and was working a crick out of his neck as he waved to them. Reijin looked up to see Uub and Kami land nearby, and Katel and Akira came riding down on a large leaf that immediately seemed to blow away into the distance as soon as they stepped off of it. The two seemed to move as one, and Reijin had to force himself to turn his attention to Gabriel.
"You certainly took your time coming," the glowing figure pointed out.
The Saiyan didn?t feel like listening to this. "We were interrupted," he let out. With all that they had dealt with, he didn?t feel like facing the inquiry of the angel. They needed him to help deal with this situation and to find out what caused this ordeal in the first place.
Crossing his arms, the angel smiled as if he were above them. "As you've seen, the minions of Hell have been unleashed. They are hard to kill."
Reijin heard a grumble from the Namekian before he had a chance to insert his own sarcastic remark. "We've noticed," Kami said, hoping that the angel would catch his hint to get to the point.
?Right. I apologize for being brief. If we are going to give the people on this asteroid any hope, we must get reinforcements.? Gabriel gave them all a studious glance as he spoke, and then continued on. "This is what we're going to do," he went on. "I will be using this watchtower to summon the back-ups. I will need everybody in this tower to power-up to your full potential."
The Saiyan full-breed gave him a hard look, nearly scoffing at the thought. "Our full potential will destroy this place," he warned.
The angel shook his head in disagreement. "No, it won't," Gabriel spoke. "The Watchman, while old, is still not to be underestimated. He built a good watchtower.? His words vanished as his form faded, and Reijin glanced up to see his light had trailed up the tower.
Sighing, he gave the others a look. ?Guess this is it.?
The Namekian grinned at them as his feet left the ground. ?I just hope that you kids can keep up,? he taunted them. He burst into the air to escape Reijin?s angry retort, leaving Uub to face the remarks on his own.
Reijin finally gave Uub a look. ?I sure as hell don?t plan on getting up there last.? The two grunted at each other, and then jetted up the tower behind Kami.
Akira and Katel looked at each other for a moment, and then giggled as another leaf seemed to grow, flying them up to the top as if a wind had blown. They landed as they saw all of the warriors before them gathered into a circle. The two females took their own places at specific points in the circle around Gabriel, and they noticed that the Watchman had disappeared.
Reijin stood to side of the tower facing the mountains, holding his eyes tightly shut as he allowed his body to begin to slowly power up. Shortly to his side was Uub, a black energy surrounding his form as his veins began to protrude from his skin. Not too much farther away from him, the Namekian was standing, two hands placed practically against each other, a burning white aura surrounding them.
Reijin stopped sensing anyone around him as he concentrated on increasing his own power within himself. Extending his Ki sensory, he felt every slight breath that emanated from the bronze warrior that had seemed to accompany them recently. He could feel Olibu?s large muscles tighten as his golden hair was blowing unnaturally in the wind that had seemed to pick up within the building.
Despite being somewhat short, Reijin?s hair began to lift slightly as a charge of static washed through it from the energy that Reijin began to allow to course through his veins. Even through his closed eyelids, the Saiyan could see a white glow surround him and burning brightly around him, staying tightly as if a sheet of quicksilver surrounding his form.
The Saiyan could feel himself reaching the pinnacle of what his natural body could withstand fairly quickly, as he was simply walking through much practiced steps of his own fighting warm up. To any that would have been watching, his hair began to acquire an almost blondish golden tone to it, spiking straight into the sky in a manner not typical of his normal look. His closed eyes were betrayed by a slight greenish glow that emanated from his eyelids, while his ivory colored aura began to shift into a more natural golden color. His muscular structure began to bulk up a bit more like his fellow alliance member Olibu?s own, and yet his entire body maintained a sleek look of overall dominance.
The warrior?s physique changed to that of a sleek fighting machine, with an internal muscular structure that was as strong as steel, and his veins began to show a bit more on the surface. He wasn?t through calling more energy into his being, and he could feel his power begin to burn more brightly around him, forming into a great golden phoenix around him. He smirked a bit, without realizing it, as his eyes continued to close him off from the rest of the world.
He could feel a tremendous amount of pressure washing over him from all directions, and he could only imagine what form of energy Gabriel was summoning in the center of their circle. He knew the others would also be growing to greatly desired power levels. Reijin?s own Super Saiyan ability, while dwarfing the Transcendence of the human warrior called Uub, was paled when compared to the sheer power that emanated from the Ultra Namekian Kami. Reijin knew that Kami had once completely taken over the Earth himself, although he did not run it anywhere near the way Frost had done so. Reijin could even feel a great amount of power from the signature that he believed to be Olibu. He was fairly impressed by what the warrior was managing to conjure up from within himself, but he had to laugh a bit internally at how meager it was compared to his own.
He could also feel Akira and Katel nearby, but he could not sense what exactly they were doing with their power. He could almost sense Akira?s eyes boring holes into him, but he quickly dismissed that as his imagination. He couldn?t help but think inside. What exactly was the deal with her? Was she simply playful, or was she coming on to him, or just? what? He had no answers, but he knew that he would do whatever it would taken to learn Pyromancy from her, no matter what the strain would tax upon his own body, and no matter what form of agreements he had to make with her.
Continuing to hold her gaze, he replied to her. ?Partially based on what you told me earlier, and partially on what I just found out. I was trying to simply will something into existence that I have no power to cause.?
