Who was that? Eighteen's face moved from side to side, but in the darkness of the freezing cold water, she was unable to see anything. Her mechanical body was reacted still to being unable to breath.

Eighteen raised an arm. She was surprised at how easy it was to move. Looking up, the android still couldn't see anything but the pitch black water. Still, somewhere up there, she could hear him.
"Heh, guess she's not even gonna try."
No, she was here. She wanted him. Her body reacted immediately, pushing itself up, through the water. It became harder as she floated higher...almost there...
He's waiting for you
Eighteen burst through the surface, a scream emitting from her throat. "RADITZU!" She landed on the ground, breathing deep, almost panting. It was not her love that she found, but instead found the wise watchman standing there. He had planned it. He had been toying with her.
"Your boyfriend loves you very much," he told her, "Do you love him?"
"Yes," she simply responded.
"What is it that you fear?"
"I fear...not being wanted."
He nodded. It was a sad fear, but an understandable one. "You have passed the test."
