[10] Cell and Bra - Hospital
#2
"You are a father before you are a Saiya-jin," came an old yet familiar voice. Vegeta turned to see the wise Watchman glaring deep into his soul. "An admirable trait." The prince didn't answer, still catching his breath through heavy inhales. "Do you now know what it is you fear?" The dream seemed so real, the fear still lurking within his mind and body. His thoughts scrambled, bringing back the images that he lived only a few seconds ago.

"I fear...losing my children."

The watchman nodded with agreement. "A father. A fighter. A Saiya-jin. Combine those three, you are unstoppable. You have passed my test." A test? So this dream wasn?t real after all. It was all a test damnit! Vegeta didn?t like tests, especially when he didn?t even know that he was taking one.

Silence filled the room that the remaining warriors stood in. Nobody had mentioned anything about their dreams, obviously scared or ashamed of what they had faced. There?s no doubt though that they passed, as they were still alive and well, unlike a few others. Vegeta?s eyes trailed over to Zarbon, the fighter he and his daughter were traveling with earlier in the Military base. It was sad to see a companion die, but in war, there will always be casualties.

Footsteps could be heard ringing from the outside, they were coming closer. Every fight took heed to the sound and watched the door as it creaked open, giving way for Gabriel, the angelic being to walk through with outstretched wings. Vegeta caught glimpse of the outside, it was dark. Just how long was he sleeping for?

"I suppose I have some explaining to do," Gabriel finally broke the silence.

"I'll say," Raditzu voice was different, but it pierced Vegeta?s heart in an unusual way. His vision rolled over to the long haired Saiya-jin, the images still burning in the back of his eyes.

Gabriel nodded, taking a few steps closer to the gathered warriors. "The Watchman, you could say, is a God." He sudden laughter erupted from his lips. "He's not a Kai, he holds no real power or authority. He, however, is a being beyond human, Saiya-jin, android, or anybody here. He is all powerful. He is the only one of his race, and will always be." The prince found a chair and sat down comfortably on it.

"I don't see what this has to do with the matter at hand," Vegeta didn?t care about the old man, he frankly was the least of their problems. His daughter was standing next to him, so he helped her up onto his lap, something that a few days ago he would never imagine himself doing.

"The Watchman was the one that sent you into your dream states. All of you faces your biggest fears. As you can see, some faced them better then others," His eyes scanned from the new bodied Cell, to the breathless Zarbon. "I was the one that scared Kao away."

"What was the plan he was talking about?" Asked Seventeen. Vegeta knew this one had to be an android, the ki signature was almost impossible to find.

"Friend or Foe is ruined. The project is done. Brim is gone." A few heavy breaths found it?s way around the room. Brim was dead? And not by the hands of anyone in here? Little did Vegeta know that it was someone from his own group that had taken the beast down. "However, more pressing matters then Kao are at hand. Satan's minions roam the asteroid. They fear to come here, knowing they will lose."

"So why don't we just find them, and end it?" His daughter brought up the question still on her father?s lap. Vegeta knew this girl was brave, a Super Saiya-jin at 12 years old, once unheard of. His royal bloodline was something to not take lightly.

"I don't want to put the angels at any unnecessary risk. You must find them." He stopped for a moment. "You can split up if you wish, or all go in a group. Regardless, Kao is the least of our worries, I assure you. Find the demons."

Gabriel turned and began to walk off, leaving the warriors to bask in their next mission. Akira and Katel had entered the room from the staircase, the dead Doctor Flagg behind them. The doctor who aided them in playing the disk they had retrieved from the military base looked around the room, surprised to see everyone finally awake.

"I will explain my story when you return," the old Flagg spoke, "I think there are more pressing matters at hand now." Vegeta hissed, knowing this old man would probably end up dead if he had to do the work that they were just ordered to do.

?I?m heading to the hospital. It?s the place I?m most familiar with, and there?s something I missed on my last visit that I want to investigate further.? Cell spoke up to everyone from his silent state. His body was definitely different, as well as his voice, but there was no doubt in Vegeta?s mind that just by reading the multiple ki waves he gave off, this was the creature he had fought long ago. He must have attained a new transformation, but even with it, his power level was of no concern to the prince. ?Of course, anyone is welcome to join me...? The invite was aimed towards everyone in the room. A break of silence filled the room before Vegeta?s daughter looked up at the fighter, finally coming to her decision.

?Cell?? Bra questioned. It seemed as if she was unsure of his existence, but didn?t want to be wrong by calling out his name. Cell no doubt knew it, and he gave off a smug grin. He nodded.

?Yes.? His voice was no doubt proud, he knew he had finally obtained perfection.

?...Can I come?? Vegeta gazed down at his daughter as she asked. The hospital, why would she want to go to the hospital?

?It makes no difference to me.? Cell replied with a shrug. She turned and gave Vegeta a hug, it filled his body with an odd feeling, yet it brought a quick smile to appear on his hardened face.

?Daddy,? she began, ?You can come too, you know?? her voice became low, like she was unsure how to act to her new fatherly like father, ?But, I mean... If you have other things you need to do... that?s cool too...?

The young heiress stood up and walked over to Cell who had apparently moved himself closer to the door. She walked with pride, yet Vegeta still worried for her. His dream echoed the presence of death again, and his heart skipped a beat.

The two fighters began to exit, leaving Vegeta to think amongst himself for a bit. His eyes gazed over at Raditzu. There he was, the death bringer of his dream. He had killed Trunks before his very eyes, and held Bra at the collar. What should he do? Follow Bra, or stay here and challenge Radtizu once again. His vision shifted over to Reijin, his ally in arms. Would he stay here and fight along side with his Saiya-jin comrade? By the looks of it, Reijin had other things in mind, and with that nullify ball, Vegeta felt the weight on his shoulders disabling his SSJ2 technique. He would be of no use anywhere near Reijin, and that?s how he felt. In order to fight these things, to fight Satan, he would need all the power he could get.

?Satan?? Vegeta pursed through his lips. The beast he had encountered a few times earlier throughout this game reconfirmed it?s existence. There was no doubt this monster was strong, so strong that even he and his son at an ascended level of Super Saiya-jin couldn?t take him down. What if Bra and Cell encountered Satan at the hospital? There would be no chance for their survival. Satan was too strong, he knew he had to help his daughter; a father first, then a Saiya-jin.

He stood up from his chair and took a long stretch, as anyone would after taking a long nap on the ground. Vegeta wouldn?t let his eyes wander over towards Raditzu, for he knew then his heart might change objectives, and find out he would rather do something out of selfishness. He turned and began to walk towards the door, nodding towards Reijin as he brushed past him. The nighttime breeze was comforting, almost like the calm before the storm. A battle was at hand, one of indescribable proportions. They were about to engage in hand to hand combat with the very demons from hell.

?So what if the angels were at risk?? He thought to himself as he looked over at the battalion of angelic warriors. ?Isn?t that what they are here for?? Vegeta thought about it for a moment. Angels were already dead, they weren?t amongst the living, but he was. He wasn?t dead yet, why would they have more to risk than any of them would? Vegeta shook his head and spat it out towards his starboard side. ?Forget it.? He mumbled as he began to focus on his daughters Ki. It wasn?t too far ahead, apparently they figured more would be following, so they didn?t try to exceed a steady flying limit. An aura erupted around the prince?s body and he jolted forward, aiming towards his daughter and the newly transformed Cell. The hospital was the goal, what they would find there, he didn?t know. One thing he hoped for however, was a chance to fight against Satan, and take him down for good.
