[File Island] One Strange Adventure

It was snowing by the time the two headed out. The hot spring building had been a good place to rest, Terra felt all loose and warm inside. The snow that fell around her didn?t dampen her spirits; she was ready to face the world. With Salamon at her side they would get far, and hopefully find food. Her stomach was aching badly, at least her digipal had eaten the last of the chips the other day, but they were both hungry regardless. For a while they walked in silence. They passed by many trees and a few rocky formations.

?Terra, look!? Salamon started pouncing ahead of the red haired teen. Nestled against the foot of one of the trees was a cluster of plump mushrooms. The snow was covering most of them, but part of their heads was poking out. ?These look editable, I?ve seen them before.? Terra leaned down and pulled one from the ground. She wiped off some of the snow and made sure that there were no bugs or dirt on it. ?These taste good.? Salamon was already eating one. The digimon looked fine, so she chomped into it.

?You?re right! It tastes kind of different from mushrooms back home, though.? she finished the mushroom and had another. ?We must be closer to warm territory, it doesn?t feel as cold.? she wiped at some snow that had fallen onto her head. ?Let?s keep going.? she grabbed a few more mushrooms which they ate while they walked.

The snow was heavy, but they were making good progress. The food had given them both energy, but they?d need something for supper. It was in her hopes that they would reach the end of this snowy land. It couldn?t be much longer, right? Terra glanced down at her companion, and it happily skipped along beside her.
