Roses...but different color ones...don't push the red too hard.
Me. I get my wife white and yellow tipped red and white roses, she loves that.
On the card, don't get too romantic, you may scare her off. Shoot for the cute and cuddily...make it make her saw "aww".
I'm no expert, but I managed to get married an amazing woman somehow!
